Vintage Savory & Moore Ltd Chemist Bottle — Infusion of Senna, Malvern

A beautiful and historically evocative antique chemist's bottle, still bearing its original handwritten label: Inf: Sennae Conc 1-7 — Infusion of Senna Concentrate, a classic Victorian and Edwardian digestive tonic and laxative preparation. The bottle retains its original cork stopper and glass stopper above, and carries the dispensing label of Savory & Moore Ltd, Sole Proprietors, Malvern — a branch of one of England's most distinguished pharmacy chains.

Condition

• Bottle: Good condition for age. Clear glass with some internal residue and patina consistent with age and former contents.
• Label: Original paper dispensing label present, with handwritten contents notation. Some wear, foxing, and age-related deterioration to the label — adds to the authenticity and charm.

Savory & Moore held Royal Warrants and were among the most prestigious pharmacists in England, supplying the Royal Family and aristocracy. The firm expanded to branches across England before eventually being absorbed into the Boots group.
