Fujica Single-8 Z600 Cine Camera 1968–72 — Fujinon Zoom Lens, Auto/Manual Zoom, Film Available

A stunning and fully featured Fujica Single-8 Z600 cine camera, dating from 1968–72. The Z600 represents the upper end of Fujifilm's Single-8 lineup — a sophisticated camera with a quality Fujinon zoom lens, both automatic and manual zoom control, film speed settings, and a built-in rewind crank. The Single-8 format's precision metal film gate gives it a technical edge over Super 8, and Single-8 film cartridges are still available, making this a genuinely usable vintage cine camera.

Provenance

• Maker: Fujifilm (Fuji Photo Film Co. Ltd), Japan — one of Japan's most respected optical and photographic manufacturers. Fujifilm introduced the Single-8 format in 1965 as a direct competitor to Kodak's Super 8, with the key technical advantage being a precision metal film gate for superior image stability and sharpness.
• Model: Fujica Single-8 Z600 — a top-of-the-range model in the Single-8 lineup, featuring a Fujinon zoom lens with both automatic and manual zoom, film speed settings, and a built-in rewind crank for rewinding film mid-roll.
• Lens: Fujinon zoom — Fujifilm's own high-quality optical brand, used on professional broadcast and cinema lenses to this day.
• Film: Single-8 cartridge — still available from specialist suppliers including Fujifilm Japan.
• Era: 1968–72 — the golden age of home movies and amateur filmmaking.
• Appeal: A feature-rich and capable vintage cine camera from one of Japan's great optical houses — the combination of Fujinon optics, metal gate precision, and available film makes this a serious option for vintage filmmakers as well as collectors.
